About US
The GovTech Innovation Lab is an initiative led by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) which aims to build impactful government service applications by fostering and enabling an environment for Egyptian startups to design citizen-centric public services.
Citizen-centricity is the primary focus for Digital Egypt Strategy where the government aspires to move away from offering an abundance of traditional public service delivery from across different government entities towards providing citizens with a smoother and more seamless user experience when interacting with government.
The goal of the lab is that the government, entrepreneurs and citizens co-create and co-design service solutions which serve the citizens’ daily needs and their lifetime events from birth to death.
We are working towards creating a positive impact on the citizens’ lives, as well as fostering a supportive entrepreneurial environment for startups, in order to co-create high value and GovTech Ecosystem and enhance the governmental service experience.
This is a

Ensuring a well-established e-Gov requires the cooperation between:
government
which is practically encouraging innovation and the modernization of its facilities, by supporting the GIL program
Startups
who will be working hand-in-hand with citizens and the government to create a product that provides a solution to challenges.
the citizens
you’re the source of insights and feedback to this whole process, as you submit the challenges you believe affect the nation the most, regarding their contact with governmental entities, as well as voting for the most convenient solutions.
